PRELIMINARY ANNOUNCEMENT
2005 MUSCULOSKELTAL TUMOR SOCIETY ANNUAL MEETING
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE
MAY 19-21, 2005

We would like to encourage all the members of the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society and their families to attend the 2005 Musculoskeletal Tumor Society Annual Meeting which will be held Thursday, May 19th through Saturday, May 21st in Nashville, Tennessee at the Hilton Suites - Downtown. The address of the hotel is 121 Fourth Avenue South, Nashville, Tennessee; phone number (615) 620-1000. Reservations can be made directly by calling the number above. You should indicate that you are a member of the MSTS. The rate is guaranteed at $145.00 per night and reservations must be made by April 19, 2005 to assure this rate.

Based on the feedback from last year’s Annual Meeting, our plan this year is to allow more time for speakers and discussion. Abstracts will be of clinical and basic science orientation. We plan to feature a host session with speakers from Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a special session on CPT Coding. For the first time we will be offering a separate one day session especially for orthopaedic oncology nursing.

For those attending the meeting, the prices will be the same as last year: Members $350, Non-Members $400, Residents/Fellows/Nurses $150, Spouse/Guest $150, Children $30 (under 10 are free). Thursday the Cocktail Party will be held at the Hilton Suites and the Friday Dinner & Live Entertainment will be held at the Country Music Hall of Fame (one block away) which will include a complete tour of the museum for those who are interested.

For those of you planning to stay over Saturday evening, Grand Ole Opry tickets can be reserved including transportation to and from the hotel.

While in town, here are a few of the attractions and activities in the Nashville area: Grand Ole Opry, the Opryland Hotel, The Hermitage – home to President Andrew Jackson, The Ryman Auditorium & Museum, The Frist Center for the Visual Arts, The Parthenon, Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum of Art, and the Nashville Zoo.
