	The mission of the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society is to advance the science of orthopaedic oncology and to promote high standards of patient care. It does this through excellence in education and research and through advocacy on behalf of patients and orthopaedic oncologists.

Welcome to the homepage and website of the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society. Our mission is to advance the science of orthopaedic oncology and to promote high standards of patient care. We choose to do this through excellence in education, research and through advocacy on behalf of patients and orthopaedic oncologists. The Musculoskeletal Tumor Society is the recognized authority on all aspects of orthopaedic oncology and is an influential participant in policy making for oncology services. The Society receives feedback based on the needs of their patients and orthopaedic oncologists.

The website is a mechanism to help facilitate our goals. It is patient oriented with educational sites and a searchable orthopaedic oncology directory. The website also serves to facilitate communication between the members. It is recognized that this is only a start and the website will grow with time and evolve into a more sophisticated communication tool than now at its inception.
