About National Cancer Survivor Month

June is the month we remember and celebrate cancer survivors. In America there are almost 17 million people who are currently living with or beyond cancer. According to the National Cancer Institute, an individual is considered a cancer survivor from the time of diagnosis, through the balance of his or her life. This month we celebrate and embrace those recently diagnosed, those fighting this battle and those who are past it. It is a time to acknowledge our patients’ daily struggles but also their inspirational strength and courage while traveling this journey.
